Atlas and the Queen
You are my Juliet, my queen, my goddess. I have shamed myself in your eyes, and have been rebuked for another. I take the blame, I take it all upon my shoullders. I have become like Atlas, he who holds the world upon his shoulders. My guilt knows no bounds gentle lady, for I am a mere peasant and you are a queen. Our ways crossed by chance meeting, and the time we spent was wonderful. When we were apart, I felt as a peasant does, poor and low; however, when we were together, you made me feel like a king...though I could never be your equal. Aphroditie...no, more beautiful than even she. Your beauty cannot compare with anyone save you. You have put me in my place, dear goddess, beneath the bowels of the underworld, where I truely belong for my transgressions. And so here I sit, ever silent, as you parade around your new lovers. In my condemnation, I have found enlightment. Milady, as I am Atlas, you are forever my queen, my warden, my heart's keeper, and I shan't let go.
